Confined Space Awareness
This course is intended for those who work around confined spaces. It is a requirement for workers to be informed and educated about the hazards they may be exposed to. This course will ensure that workers can identify a confined space, the associated hazards and what to do when confronted with one.
Confined Space Entry
This course is designed for confined space entrants, standby persons, supervisors and rescue personnel. All workers who have roles and responsibilities with regard to confined space must be educated and trained in the hazards and necessary controls to complete their work safely.

Confined Space Entry Refresher
This course is intended for those who have completed classroom based training and participate in confined space entries as part of their work duties. It is designed for those who require a reminder of their duties and are interested in learning about regulatory updates and industry right practices.
Confined Space Rescue – 1 Day-Basic
This course is designed for those responsible for performing a rescue from a confined space. It is limited to those spaces that either have a LOW or MODERATE hazard atmosphere. It is for rescues which will be performed using only cable/winch systems. Rope systems will not be taught or covered in this course. It for emergencies of a non-spinal nature using basic packaging techniques. This course will be instructed by someone who assesses and writes confined space hazard assessments and entry procedures, a Qualified Person as defined by WorkSafeBC Part 9.11.
Fire Extinguisher
This course is intended for those that may be required to use a fire extinguisher. It focuses on worker safety during a fire as well as understanding what type of extinguisher to use.
Qualitative Respirator Fit Tester
This course is designed to familiarize participants with required qualitative respirator fit testing protocols based on CSA standards. Participants will learn about respiratory hazards, why respirator are required, types of respirators, and proper use and care.
Isolation, De-Energization and Lockout
This course is designed for those who are required to work with Hazardous Energy. All workers who may be exposed to such energy must receive education and training in identifying it and implementing appropriate controls based on written procedures.
Fall Protection
This course is designed for those who are expected to work at heights. Before being exposed to the risk of a fall, workers must be educated and trained in how to protect themselves. While fitting their own harness, establishing an anchor point or inspecting damaged equipment, participants receive practical experience during training.

New Member Joint Occupational Health & Safety (JOHS) Committee
The New Member Joint Occupational Health and Safety Training is an 8-hour course designed for the NEW members of a safety committee. The course covers all primary aspects of what a committee member should know and do during their tenure as a member.

- Where asbestos is typically found and how to identify potential asbestos containing materials (ACM)

Asbestos Safe Work Procedure Training
This course is designed to ensure workers who work directly with asbestos products understand:
- Hazards associated with asbestos
- Specifics of the asbestos exposure control plan (ECP) and safe work procedure (SWP)
- Full suiting in respirators/ Tyvek and a complete mock-up of one safe work procedure

The Supervisor Bootcamp is built with the objective of guiding Supervisors through their Occupational Health and Safety program to ensure a successful implementation of their Safety Management System. MSI Injuries and Their Prevention in a Nutshell
This 3 hour course is a fast paced overview of soft tissue injuries for managers, supervisors, JOHS Committee members and workers. The course outlines what typical injuries are, and what terms like epicondylitis and rotator cuff tendonitis mean. It discusses myths and causes of soft tissue injury and directs you toward prevention and controls.

Fall Protection Equipment Inspection
This course is designed for those who are assigned with inspecting organizations fall protection equipment. Students will learn how to complete a formal fall protection equipment inspection. This will allow them to identify when equipment is okay for use, must be removed from service or returned to the manufacturer for re-certification.
Chainsaw Safety
This course is built specific to the needs of your organization and is designed to ensure workers who perform tasks requiring the operation of a chainsaw understand the components and safety features, types of chainsaws, site preparation, PPE, hazard assessment, pre-operational inspections, start-up and shutdown, cutting techniques, maintenance and chain filing.
Counterbalance Forklift Certification-New Learner
This course is designed for new learners on counterbalanced forklifts only. ORCA has IVES Certified forklift instructors who will guide new drivers through the theory and practical application of driving a counterbalanced forklift. Participants will only be trained on their employers forklift.
